This mail order bride story might look at first sight. Lucas, a 38-year-old sales associate from Eureka Springs, met Olga (a 25-years-old secretary from Chortkiv, Ukraine) on one of the biggest mail order bride websites, JollyRomance. In 3 months after their first real-life date, Lucas proposed to Olga.
But this story isn’t that simple.
Olga has always been charmed by the United States. Life in the US seemed like a magazine catalog for her. She wanted to move from that small hometown she lived, studied, and worked in—that’s why she dreamt of meeting an American man from a huge city.

A few months ago, Oliver, a 25 years old engineer from New York City, decided to visit a site where some of his friends chatted with Latin mail order brides. That site was called La Date, and that’s where he met his destiny. Her name is Sofia.
